Program
Overview
Cuddly
Bear is a 55 place centre:
Children
are placed in groups according to their age,
and move to the next age group when parents
and staff feel they are ready to cope with the
transition.
Cuddly
Bear Child Care caters for preschool children
with a program provided by qualified staff,
as a preparation to children commencing school.
We
encourage an active exchange of information
between staff and parents. A fortnightly program
is displayed for parent perusal.
The
Cuddly Bear program cultivates self esteem,
encourages independence and creativity, and
initiate respect for self and others. We teach
cooperation and encourage the love of learning
and the expression of curiosity.

As an extension to our Kinder program we also
offer swimming lessons, using an indoor heated
pool in the adjacent complex. These lessons
facilitate the development of gross motor skills.
The swimming centre provides fully qualified
and experienced instructors.
We provide 5 meals per day- breakfast, morning tea, hot lunch, afternoon tea and late snacks. All cooked in-house to suits each child's individual cultural, religious and dietary needs.
Incorporated
into the program are professional music and
movement instructions and computer skills. For
your child's health needs we have weekly doctors
visits.
Cuddly Bear also follow the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. This guide is designed to support and strengthen children's learning and development from birth to eight years.
The Framework:
- Identifies the key element of children's learning and development;
- Outlines principles to promote professional practice and guide a partnership between families and early childhood professionals; and
- Support transition between early childhood services with particular focus on transition to school.
